8th ANNUAL
2008 Haute Dog Howl'oween Parade
with Vendors & Pet Adoption Fair

THE PARADE IS
Sun., Oct. 26, 2:30 p.m. The start/finish is at Livingston Park, 4900 E. Livingston Dr. (@ Park Ave. in Belmont Shore), Long Beach, 90803. The 10-block sidewalk parade takes place on Second St. between Roycroft and Granada avenues and lasts about an hour. MAP
More than 600 dogs last year helped us to raise more than $10,000. More costumed dogs are expected this year!
All events are free to spectate.
PARADE ROUTE
The 10-block sidewalk parade will step-off at 2:30 p.m. from Livingston Park heading south on Park Ave. to 2nd St. Then east on the sidewalks of Second St. to Granada Ave., then west on the sidewalks of Second St. to Roycroft Ave., then back to Livingston Park by way of Park Ave.
PARKING
There is metered parking along 2nd St. There is also free street parking at the park and around the neighborhood. Leave plenty of time to find parking. MAP
ENTRY
$10 per parade dog. $2 for kids' costume contest.
VIP (VERY IMPORTANT POOCH) ENTRY
$35 includes an official Haute Dog t-shirt and the dog/owner can walk near the front of the parade. VIPs will line-up in the alley parallel to Livingston Dr. @ Park Ave.
WIN DOG FOOD FOR A YEAR
- Best costume on a dog (our grand prize) wins Natural Balance dog food for one year, courtesy of Natural Balance Pet Foods and Belmont Pets & LaunderPet.
- Best "float" wins dog food for a year from Wiskers and Pinnacle dog food.
- Best grouping in the parade wins dog food for a year from PetPop.com.
PRIZES FOR THE TOP-13
An entry can be a single dog dressed up, a group of dogs dressed up, a contingent of dog(s) with their person(s).
- grooming certificates from Wags to Whiskers,
- Fido Friendly magazine subscriptions,

- dog shampoo and more.
DOOR PRIZES
Every dog registered in the parade is entered in the drawing for great door prizes and gift certificates (to be drawn after the parade at the awards ceremony; must be present to win).

REGISTRATION & YAPPY HOUR
Pre-parade "feast"-ivities will include vendor booths, bobbing for Howl'oweenies, a dog treat stacking contest, a Bulldog Kissing Booth, disc dog demonstrations (Disc Dogs in So. Calif., 1 & 3 p.m.), fun contests, a pet adoption fair, photo opportunities, and preliminary canine costume judging (judges start roaming the park at 2 p.m.).
T-SHIRTS
$5-$15 each. Various styles, sizes and colors for men, women and kids.
